Irish Donkey Creel Log Basket

March 2020 - Saturday 7th & Sunday 8th 10am to 4:00pm
Course tuition cost per person - £120 for 2 days plus materials, £12 to £20 depending on size
Make a beautiful, strong Log Basket based on the traditional Irish Donkey Creel, using authentic techniques with locally grown willow.
Please wear warm & waterproof work clothes & shoes - the course is outdoors all day

Frame Baskets

April 2020 - Saturday 4th & Sunday 5th 10am to 4:00pm
Course tuition cost per person - £120 for 2 days plus materials, £8 to £15 depending on project
Beginners & experienced, using a range of beautifully coloured semi-green willow, dogwood, & hazel. Construct a ribbed basket using Devon, Welsh & Irish techniques
Please wear warm work clothes & shoes

Weave a Moorland Pouch

August 22nd - 24th 2020 …. 10am-4pm
Payment of full fee £185 or a £50 non-refundable deposit (balance payable 4 weeks before course start date) secures your place. materials included in the cost
The weekend will bring together techniques to create a beautiful small pouch, woven over a mould. On the third day (August 24th) we will cover all sorts of straps, fastenings and embellishments using rush and natural moorland materials.

Please bring your own chair or stool with woodwork repaired, reglued if necessary, cleaned & ready for re-seating with my soft, river rush.
Rush baskets & hats are made on a mould, various options are available.
